The Storyteller was different to most other Jodi Picoult books. Often she follows a similar premise, with a lengthy court case, and all her books have a similar feel, but with a different plot and characters.
There was no court case in this book, and it almost felt like it was written by a different author altogether.
However, it was a great story. The main story in the book, told from the past events involving Minka, was particularly good and moving. I've read quite a few stories about the Holocaust, and this was a story well told.(less)
