Thirteen Reasons Why

Thirteen Reasons Why - Jay Asher I liked the premise of this book. A girl named Hannah Baker commits suicide and leaves a pile of tapes to be passed on to the 13 people that she feels contributed to her death. Although the story intrigued me because I wanted to find out all the reasons, I found myself not really feeling bad for Hannah. I thought that the reasons would have been upsetting for any high school student but Hannah felt like a bit of a martyr.I get that every small thing that someone says or does can lead to a bigger thing in someone's life, in the case of this story however, I didn't see Hannah as big of a victim as she made herself out to be.Also, the ending was pointless.Selena Gomez is supposedly playing Hannah in an upcoming movie adaptation, so I'll check that out too.
